You are very welcome. Your comments have made my day. All you've said of Ron are totally true. He is no longer on the internet. I will convey all you've said today. He will be pleased, too, that the information is still valuable to all engravers, whom he loves so much. Thank you, again. Bill.

    Engraving Transfer Technique

With the way I ended up doing the transfer I never had any of these problems until I got to very fine shading. Then, I got impairment, causing the graver to slide. I removed the DYKEM and spray and shaded the bare metal. All worked well after that, too. Thanks for the question.

    Engraving Transfer Technique

This is something I will surely checkout. For my printer EPSON did not have whether dye or pigment listed. And I couldn't ask a question. So, I will experiment. Thanks for opening up another way to transfer and use colors, Allen. I really appreciate all of it.

    Engraving Transfer Technique

Yes, this is an excellent method. Has good applications. Thanks for bringing it up. I had seen it and was impressed with the quality. I had to rule it out, though, as I don't have a laser printer. But, good results.

With your permission I would like to give a bit more insight into the background of this technique. Let me tell the ups and downs of the several weeks it took me to work it out. I want to thank each of you and, especially, Jim Disbrow this morning for getting me thinking about what you could...

    Engraving Transfer Technique

You are exactly right, Jim. One of the many variables to this method is printer quality. Mine is an Epson Work Force 7520. It produces excellent quality. I just didn't want tell tell everyone to go get a new printer. Each person to try this would need to see what the results of their printer...
