I stipple a lot of my backgrounds, it blends lines and uneven surfaces well, it also is good for holding color if you decide to blacken or color the background

I originally bought a piston from a Detroit Diesel motor and it is very large. I figured I would try it on a smaller piston for my first one. I just finished drawing out the design on the diesel piston. I might get around to carving it in a week or so. I'll post pics when I finish it
