My brother's son, Nic, moved up from the junior ranks this year and beat two-time Olympian and four-time World Champion Vincent Hancock to win his first national title in international skeet. He was the Junior Nationals and Junior World Championship runner-up in 2018.

(And he's a really nice kid, too.)
It's a rare boast that you have out shot an Olympian! My congratulations to the young man!

Great news Mitch. I have tried International Skeet and it is a challenge. I compete as an old guy in the Masters class in sporting clays so I can appreciate his accomplishment I once shot FITASC with a young lady from Louisiana that was training on the Olympic Skeet team...I couldn't believe how quickly she got on a target. I've seen Vincent Hancock shoot and your nephew feally accomplished something by besting him.

Thanks to all for your kind comments. My mom was talking about her grandson's recent accomplishment and she said, "He beat a guy who's won two gold medals in the Olympics. I guess that's a pretty big deal."
I was a diver when I was a kid, so I told her, "Mom, that would be like me beating Greg Louganis."
She said, "Ooooohh..."

Personally, I think it's great that the shooting sports are now a high school sport. There are 3 teams in our county, both male and female, who regularly place in the top 3 of state events. One school also has a bass fishing team. Who'da thunk it?

Mitch, what is his State of residence? I may get to see him on a clays course sometime

Colorado. He was living at the Olympic Training Center in Colo.Spgs. with the US Jr. team, but I'm not sure if he's still there. When he was younger he shot some of everything- skeet, trap, & clays, and was pretty successful all around, but about 5 yrs ago he decided to focus on int'l skeet. He might still shoot some clays for fun, I don't know.

The kid is a wiz with a scattergun. I can't find it, but I used to have a video clip of him hand-throwing two targets, then swinging the gun behind his back and smokin' 'em both.

just the guard bow of his Krieghoff K80. it's in gold & platinum. (photo was in TIFF format and this site wouldn't recognize it and/or let me upload it. i'm pretty computer-challenged so could only figure out how to save it as a PDF. it seems that uploaded okay, but we'll see if anybody can see it. Anybody know how to convert a TIFF to a JPEG?)

Usually when you save a photo out of photoshop or other photo software it gives you the option of what form you want to save in. Don't know how to get it out of pdf except print and scan.
