Fantastic Marty. Keep posting:)

Do you use a "normal" graver to do this work, or are you using several different graverpoints? Can I also ask how you transfer this kind of work?

In Northern Norway we only have a few People who has got the virus. Approx 50 People. That`s because no one from the south is allowed to travel up North and allmust everything has been shutted Down here since the first coronacase.

And of course I wish everyone stay healthy during this horrible time

Sam i just am crazy about what you did on the dust cover rail I need to get over to my friends house and once again drool over her Bodmer picture journal Your rifle is already a one of a kind masterpiece and you are not even finished with it yet
Adder i am basically using a 90 and a 70 for the engraving i have a 50 degree face and removed the excess on top to give me a really small tip i am pushing by hand and also shading with my airtact using a monarch handpiece you have to keep the gravers real sharp

Thanks for the info Martin :) I have to try bulinowork in the future, but now I have to concentrate on decent scrollwork on my knives. And Sam your work is beautiful as allways.

Thanks to all the artists who have displayed their work in this thread. It is very humbling to see such outstanding work by "such mere mortal" as the other Sam so eloquently said. It is also very enlightening to watch the progressive pictures of these "in the works" projects. Don't stop now!

Working on the flip side of my knife. Since it is mine and for practice I thought I would use coarser shade lines on this side. Still trying to figure out which to use on the rifle design which has more traditional scrolls. Thoughts?

Well yesterday was a good work day. I got this far on the engraving. Today will be a try to go to the market day so won't get a heck of a lot done.
How has everyone else been making out?
Stay safe

This reminds me of my "vanning" days. I had a '75 Chevy van named "Chuckwagon" with airbrushed scenes all over it. The primary side was almost exactly like your presentation at sunset and as you went around the van the sun was setting a little lower for each panel. The back doors has an owl poking its head from a hole in a Suguarro(sp) cactus and the doors opened to a fully stocked chuckwagon kitchen. It won third place at the a East Coast National Van Show in Bowling Green, KY, out of 5000 entries, and we used it daily, no trailer queen, and it was featured in a book on the subject. I was seriously considering engraving the scenes on my pre '64 Winchester 30-30 but now may reconsider what to put on it. Maybe I'll do it up as a North Carolina gun with bear, deer, etc., all official State flora/fauna represented. I love the theme you're doing and the presentation is awesome.
