I was just thinking back through the years of the Engravers Cafe and I got to wondering whatever happened with that guy who set out to learn hand engraving from start to being a Master Engraver in one year? He just seemed to disappear. Hopefully, he kept engraving beyond that one year.
Originally designed by Sam Alfano, I decided to make a run of 144 of these heavy brass graver lube cups. A tool you will use every day and it will last just about forever. Sam uses one for lube and one for Transfer Wax.

The subject of whether you can use the Lindsay Engraving long collets in the GRS hand pieces and whether you can use the GRS QC collets in the Lindsay collet nose hand pieces has come up from time to time. I did a side by side comparison and, they are fully interchangeable. The Lindsay collet...
I know many of us are on both forums. I tend to check the Facebook version more often and, only check in here once in awhile. I VERY rarely look at the Engraving Forum (Lindsay) but, I do once in awhile. Almost never for the others.
As for myself, I'm thinking Sam and the Facebook forum is...
We are having our master bathroom remodeled and I bought these hand cast pewter cabinet pulls made by Notting Hill in Wisconsin. As small of a world it is when it comes to engravers and engraving, I'd almost bet that someone here on the forum must have engraved the mold.

I snapped a photo of my 33rd Degree Scottish Rite belt buckle as it was something I had handy. I used my two desk lamps for light and the desk top itself...
I received an email from Roger Henrich's son in law informing me that Roger passed away at 1:15 pm today, October 31, 2015.
Roger was keeping it a secret from mostly everyone but he had been battling lung cancer all summer. He went through the chemo and radiation therapy and he was looking...

I have a small 1 gallon air compressor that I use for an air nailer and and air stapler. I'm thinking about buying a remotely mounted regulator with a water trap. I think that should work to run a Paasche VL Air Brush and AEC Air Eraser.
What do you think?
