Yes it would. Just remember that it is probably not a compressor for the ages. GRS does sell them. I have bought them from Home Depot and Lowes. You can buy direct from California Air, and they may have blems on sale.
On their site GRS sells and apparently recommends the California Air Tools 4610AC Ultra Quiet & Oil-Free Air Compressor. I have one and it runs the GraverMach well. I am sure it is not as quiet or durable as the Sil-Air or the Val- Air compressors, it is less than one third the cost of...
I got a couple with some other NgraverR items. They are made from 5/16 square stock, should be easy to get. You probably could make them If you can drill the 3/32 (or whatever size you need) in the end, and drill and tap for a set screw to hold the graver.
Check for a thread about the company...
You could use double stick tape to attach a metal platform. Use a little heat to remove it if you don't like it. I jury rigged a variable speed reversable hone from a small wood lathe and used double stick tape for the platform and it has held with no problem.
I have a old GRS single speed, one...
As a CPA you should have all the tools you need to figure this out. I think it is just like CPAs, there are partners in big firms who make millions and worker bees that make a good living at less than 100K.
There is the old saying that the best way to make a small fortune in an art/craft, is to...
When you started your business you had 25 years of jewelry repair experience and spent $50,000. I think it will probably be easier to find someone with 50k than someone with the experience to make it work. You might try to find a business broker to help you value and sell your shop.
On mine, there is a set screw that allows you to twist the front. I loosened it a little just now and was able to twist the graver about 25 degrees. Probably, I could loosen it more and get more movement. You might unscrew the screws holding the black plate on top and see how it works. I think...
Does this method require a laser printer or ink jet?
thanks
After, I posted this, I watched the video in a larger format and saw that the Grafix film was for inkjet
I have made my own chisels and gouges, but I find that modified commercial chisels and gouges work well and are easier. Woodcraft Supply as mentioned above, sells Swiss Made - Pfeil palm chisels that are high quality and work well. You may want to make flat chisels and shallow gouges, and...
I have an automatic search for NGraver on eBay and when items show up, they usually sell quickly and for good money. It may be more trouble than you want to do, but you might have a family member or friend who would be able to post items on eBay for you.
I am not sure if nGraver is still in business. I tried to call several months ago and could not get an answer , I made several attempts. Currently there is an outfit on US ebay with a Magna Graver and a Foredom slow speed unit.
I used California Air 4610, when I had a gravermax and continue to use it with a gravermach. It is oil-less so it provided oil free air. GRS has them but you can find them locally at Lowes and Home Depot, probably cheaper and no shipping.
I am glad that my recommendations was helpful. I ordered another one. I am using one for engraving, one on a wood lathe, one for routing wood for inlay, and one for a scroll saw.

You might consider inexpensive 'sewing machine' lights. They have a magnetic base and about a 12 inch flexible gooseneck. The sell on eBay for less than $10. The are not built for the ages, but they might provide you with an idea if the concept will work for you, before you buy a more expensive...
If you think you might like hand control, it will be cheaper to go that route from the beginning. I am also of a certain age, and when I bought a gravermach, I felt that having hand control might be better on my back and neck. With hand control I don't have to sit in a constant way to keep my...
If you can afford the GRS or Lindsay, getting one of those and getting to engraving makes good sense. For those of us with less sense, trying to cobble together something seems irresistible. I tried a drill press stand, I got on Craigslist for $15. . I cut the post off so that I could wedge it...
A widow recently donated a lot of her husband's woodturning tools and wood to the Kansas City Woodturners Club. As I made my purchase, I told the treasurer of the club that in effect, I was just renting the tools for a while before they went back to the club to be sold again.
