I ordered another disk from the same manufacturer as the grinder, and it should work. I will still try to have the other disk drilled too. I'd love to have a few extra disks for both metal and glass work. I'll post again when i have this worked out. Thank you for your time.
It looks like the manufacturer makes another diamond pad that might work. I'll give it a try. It isn't as wide as the new one, but that may benefit me due to space on the grinder as i need room for the templates. These diamond pads are very useful in my glass work if they don't work for metal...
I got the 260 disk from Lindsay. Attached/below is my grinder. The grinder disk hole is 2 cm and the new disk is 1 cm. The new disk slides over the center rod fine, but still too much play. Maybe some of you clever minds can help me make this work. I either need to make the new 260 disk...
Thanks! I decided to order Lindsay's 260 grit pad and see if I can make it fit. For $32 it seems worth a try and worse case someday maybe i'll have a real hone for my pad. Any thoughts on how to get the height exact between the template and the pad?
