Picking one of these up to test them out but seems like a viable option to use for a border scribe! Maybe someone here will also get some use from it.

I made a similar tool for myself about 35 yrs ago. You'll need to regrind the point so it will scribe right up against the fence.

looks nice to me. good for straight edges. may be a bit wonky on curves. ymmv
