I just finished this brass plate, its for a small village nearby.
There lies a big stone where in the past the farmers gathered for a meeting when the horn was blowed by one of the members.
They want to put it on a shed next to the stone to explain it to the tourists.

very nice looking. that's the greatest feature of being an engraver. you sort of become "connected" to people because of what work we do. :tiphat:

I am in shock at how flawless your lettering is. Marvelous.

On the figure, your cutting is good, nice light and shadow development. But the face shows some need of anatomy or life drawing. This is where many of us are not so strong, so you are not alone.

Very nice work. I'm interested to know whether the lettering is drawn freehand or did you use a computer and then transfer? Does such software exist, for Copperplate style?

Thank you all !!!
@ Tom, I see what you mean, but I am not that good in drawing and had to deal with a very poor picture, I was not able to get it better.

@ Nick, it's a tranfered script called Edwardian Script.

Thanks William, i didn't know about Edwardian Script. It really is beautiful lettering.

The engraving is a very good likeness of the drawing, good job

Nick,
Copperplate is a standard Windows font. If you use a Windows PC, you should already have it.
Open WordPad and look at the font selection. It should be there.
