Bulino Zippo

My first bulino on a zippo. Majority of the work was done with a manuel push graver, only used pneumatic on the whiskers. Will have more work within the next couple of weeks.

Looks great!
Did you find that when cutting that you cut through the plating to the brass underneath?
If so do you think that that improved the look?

I don't think it made any difference. You only see the brass when you have the cuts capture the light. If you look at it directly or in shade it looks like its painted already but i haven't. You can notice in the last shot i didn't use any light source.

Andrew,

Very impressive work! I am not sure how much bulino you have done, nevertheless you capture the subject well, so I assume your art experience is well developed. A tiny point, the whiskers are just a tad too straight, I would like to see a little bit of curve in them, however I would feel very proud to have reached this level, well done!

Very nice. Love the set of photos. The cat seems to come out of the bare metal.
