Double-sided Necklace with letter "S"

When I think about it, this little thing, contains almost all of my skills and techniques that I apply in my work.


General information:
- Size: 40 X 55 mm

Front side:
- inlayed faceted stainless steel plate 30 X 40 , mm
- metal hand engraving
- partial matting and polishing
- for the letter "S" - partial 24 K gold plating
- for the rose - copper inlay, 3D hand engraving




Back side:
- inlay - boxwood 30 X 40 , mm
- micro carving

Base:
- walnut, oil finish

Necklace Chain:
- 925 silver

for engraving:

#901 and Monarch handpiece ,
gravers: 120°, flat, 115°(for shading)

for carving:
Monarch and Maestro Classic handpieces
flat and round chiesels 12° of cutting edge

Really nice work. The only improvement I see in one of the photos is that the edge of the wood next to the inlay on the front could be sharpened. It looks like it had been hit with the graver or chisel. This could be taken care of by putting a slight bevel on the wood edge to eliminate the bad spots.
