Dumb newbie question

Hi. I am new here and to engraving in general. I am looking to engrave my pens and other wood turned things I make. In my haste I bought an old Scott engraving machine (Scott said they think it might be a skii engraver), a Scott Sm-100 engraving machine, and a pantograph rig for a dremel. The Scott Sm-100 is close, but it is lacking for my needs. Im thinking either a new hermes of any model, a desktop 4 axis cnc, or a laser engraver. My experience is that I know enough to know I am in over my head. Any suggestions?

this forum is for hand enravers. some of us do use pantographs for certain applications. i use pantos, laser, and cnc machines,as well as engrving by hand. send me a pm with yer phone #. i can set you off in the right direction.
