Hi Evgeni
I found your work on the Internet.
The article was written about you in Russian, and Last name!
I thought that you are working on the Tula Plant hunting rifles!
Now I see that you are from Bulgaria!

You make great work!
I admired, when looking at the subtle patterns of metal and magnificent wood carvings!

What a treat to see your beautiful work, Evgeni. Your photos are nice and clear and all the detail shows perfectly. You obviously have many hours of labor into this set.

Mike Bissel, BES, Marrinan, Paulie, Simone, Marcus Hunt, sam, and Veizman - Thanks to all !!

... the dragon an different leavels are making a 3D dimension...

Maybe the photos became a lot,
but I showing 2 stereo images, on which clearly visible the volume of the dragon:

anaglyph picture (needed anaglyph glasses):

If about inlays , really it was laborious, but my goal was, with thick inlays, to become "metallisation" of the handle .

sam, please attach this article to Categorie "Knife Engraving". This knife and the other, that I've shown here, are differents

Thanks in advance :)

Evgeni,
What is the liquid in the bottle used for maintaining the walnut handgrip? Is it also used on your carved gunstocks and what do you use as the final finish for them? Linseed oil is commonly used here.

Hi DKanger,
...What is the liquid in the bottle used for maintaining the walnut handgrip? ...
The liquid is a cocktail of linseed oil and coal gas 7:3

...Is it also used on your carved gunstocks and what do you use as the final finish for them? ...
Yes, I use it, with a little added wax

For gunstock finish:
The standard- impregnated with natural oils on the base of Linseed oil and wax

The ends are finely polished and sealed with a French polish

P.S.
I do not know you understandable my "English"
At first I thought I'll write small...

Evgeni,
Your English is fine. The only term I don't understand in your posting is coal gas. Are you referring to coal oil, also known as lamp oil? We use turpentine with our linseed oiled finishes.

Yes, exactly lamp oil.
Replaced the turpentine with him, because it has more deep penetration in a single painting. This is to maintain of the wood.
To finish I also use turpentine.

Hi Evgeni

That is some stunning work and deserves the name aristocrat!!

A question............is the name "Nazgul" the dark riders from Lord of the Rings??? It certainly has that European mythological look about it. Just beautiful :)

Cheers

Hi Andrew,
yes, these are exactly dark riders of Tolkien

Sorry, that my "English" does not allow me to write everything that is on my mind

I wanted the all composition not to be trivial knife + ...
,rather to be a whole.I wanted the box is rather "cell for dragon"
For that reason carvings on the box is an openwork
