Security may be extra concerned and strict if you are flying with display guns during the week of the inauguration.
It may be a slight help if you pack some FEGA/ ACGG literature in the case with the guns to show the Inspector that you are legit.
Be sure to also bring your Guild membership card with you.
Last week I went to LAX to make sure my gun cases were OK with security, no problem.
But there were extra layers of security already in place.
Just a thought.

Have a safe flight or drive. Looking forward to seeing you all there.

Hi John

Thanks for that heads up. I would imagine that security will be pretty tight all over so giving yourself a bit of extra time at the airports etc would be a good idea.

Cheers

Hi Andrew,
I got to thinking about this because of your post on the " Who is going to Reno."
It's your idea, I just put it up as a new thread to catch some more eyes.
You have a safe flight.
All we Reno bound are looking forward to seeing how long it takes you to get oriented standing with your feet on the south side and the water swirling the wrong way.
Best, my friend. John B.

PS> I think you're right on about extra check-in time. LAX is usually about 2 hours to be safe.
I'm gonna allow 3 this week just to be on the safe side. JB.

It also never hurts to put a copy of your FFL in the locked gun case along with a business card. Carry an extra one on you also in your wallet.
