From the estate of Donald A. Glaser. Don was the G in GRS and his family is selling a slew of firearms from Don’s collection as well as engraving related treasures.

Pieces by Meek, Griebel, Warren, Swartley, Viramontez, Kelso and others. Also a few engraved by Don himself.

Since these are not historic firearms, some of these might go at a bargain price; there are no reserves on them.

Ron Smith’s Grand Master Vise:

Bruce Meek’s personal and self-made engraving vise (he gave it to Don before he passed):

Model 70 floor plate engraved by Winston Churchill (it was Don’s and was displayed for years in the GRS Training Center):

There are more items in the auction that is in Bedford, TX and online August 21-23.

I feel foolish trying to acquire that Ron Smith ball vise…. But it would be amazing to own such a piece. Haven’t had the pleasure of meeting most of this community but Ron was warm, welcoming and insisted on seeing a small piece I had made. His encouraging words and opinion of a beginner’s piece will never be forgotten.
