Hi,
Not much of an engraving scene but I can tell you one thing.
18k pink gold and straight lines wasn't funny at all.
I had to use a sledgehammer and a steel punch!
Green gold wasn't too bad to inlay.
The best, Mike

Thanks guys!
Question, have any of you have had any experience with Ti.
Look at the fourth picture above. The inner circle I managed to punch gold in but the outer one I failed.
I had to lathe a new outer circle and just anodize that one. It feels like the Ti have some spring effect. I will never try that again. Another thing, when I anodised the inner circle, the 24k gold made some disturbing bubbles. I thought that normal anodising had no effect on pure gold? (Anodizeing with electricity and destiled water) but you should see the bubbles! If I look closely I can see that the gold changed in the colour to darker in the outskirts.
The best
