Sam/TOS,
I met Ron and Liz at that first FEGA show at the El Rancho in 1985. I had a table beside them and we have been fast friends ever since. Many visits across the decades.
I also have a distinct memory that same trip of meeting you and Wilma out in the parking lot of the El Rancho as we were carrying things in. I of course recognized you from Roger Bleile's first book published in 1980, (that was probably before I officially met Ron and Liz some hours later). You were gracious and encouraging and honestly helpful to a new engraver then and always were through the years since. I wish that geography was a little more friendly to my travels that I could have made more visits to you over the years but you have certainly been a delight at every FEGA show since then. I can contrast that with few other names I met at that same first show who held leadership positions in the guild across the years that were not so welcoming to a beginning engraver but we will leave them nameless. It's been great organization of many great people and a lot of fine memories have been made and beautiful art created.
