Your problem from what I can see from the photos is you have an older switching microscope. These were designed for taking still photos. The switch brings the camera into play and the other eyepiece is used to get the work into view and focused and the photo is then taken. It can then be switched back to biooc mode.
In microscopes, look for simultaneous focus/focal. Different manufactures have different names for it. In these scopes all three oculars work at the same time and were designed for video real time.
I fell into this trap also.
