I've seen threads with photos followed by a caption, followed by another photo etc. I understand that many of you use Photobucket to post photos but how do you get these into the MIDDLE of a posting, not merely a thumbnail attachment? I've signed up for Photobucket and when I get home I will upload some photos to try and create a mini-tutorial on cameo carving. When you start a new thread there is a place to "Manage Attachments", is this used with Photobucket or is this only to create thumbnails like I've done in the past?

Thanks,

Mark

Alternatively you can just use the IMG tags. Let me see here...

Ok, first attempt didn't work so I'll do this differently.

In order to get this:

I just typed in this (but using the regular square brackets '[' and ']' instead of curlys)
{img}http://www.svandyke.com/pics/whoohoo.gif{/img}

And another handy tip while I'm typing:

If you have a link you want to include but it's kind of long and you'd rather have show as somthing like 'click here' you do that like this:
{url=http://www.igraver.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6044}Doc Mark's new Cameo{/url}

which shows up as Doc Mark's new Cameo right in the line with all the fiddly bits hidden.

And if you want to get really fancy you can go with:
{url=http://www.igraver.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6044 target=_blank}Doc Mark's new Cameo{/url}

That gives you Doc Mark's new Cameo opening in a new window. Go ahead - just click on it and it will pop up in a separate window.

Normally I right-click and open links in a new window or tab so it doesn't mess up reading the rest of the messages.

It is important that you crop and size the picture before storing it in PhotoBucket (I use PhotoShop).

PhotoBucket produces the Code for you.

In PhotoBucket move your cursor over your stored Photo and you will be given four choices as you can see in the following picture.

Right Click and Copy the Highlighted IMG Code and insert the Code in your text where you want the picture to appear.

Then do this again for each picture.

Example

The first photo is 200 pixels and the second is 800 pixels.
