I've been cutting this as close proximity "parallel" cut practice, along with some efforts at straight line framing and floral elements. The latter definitely need much greater uniformity of form and size. The straight lines need a lot of practice. Any critique or comments would be welcome. The 'randomness' in the petal cuts is deliberate. Or at least I didn't try for exact uniform cuts.

It's 3" square.

Thanks

Jeremy, well done on a tough exercise. Good work.
Couple of thing that might help. Nit picking only.
Bottom lines have problems and are not parallel with the bottom of the plate or border.
No easy fix for this one if staying with your original premise.
The second picture shows some shading line over runs of the outside petal at two o'clock.
Easy fix, re-cut the poppy outline a little deeper, with a slight graver lean to the outside.
