I was wondering what the consensus (assuming there is one) is about what metal or, to be really open minded, other material, would serve best as an inlay on a gun to provide a red color? The idea is to represent Red Poppies. Background would either be blacked or plain steel (or if not done on a gun, ammunition brass using a discarded 40mm casing). Or do you think that the mind's eye provides better color for such a thing and simple black/white engraving would be best? I'm a bit inclined toward the B/W solution myself at the moment. Not a pressing project just an idea at this point.
Thanks.
