Hi guys, it has been a while since I wrote here. I have been very busy with work and haven't have time for engraving.
Anyway, I have vacation now so hopefully I will get this darn knife done.
This scene is quite tricky to pull off. One might think that simplicity is simple but far from it, at least for me.
Here are a few pictures.

I think a vascular surgeon must have the same patience and tool control as an engraver that cuts scrolls without leaves. The before shading and after shading pics really show the dramatic difference the extra work makes.
Thanks for posting, Mark

I work with Vascular Surgeons daily and believe me, none of them have the patience of the engraver!
Wonderful work!

I knew when you started on this project that it would be anything but easy or simple. Simple designs are often the tough ones. You've pulled this off admirably. Nice job!

Frankly this would have been an easy piece to screw up. On designs like this, mistakes stick out like sore thumbs. You've really done a bang up job with it!
