Here is a copper turtle I made. Loosely styled for a fur trade item. Usually I just rocker engrave the shell plates and stamp other designs. After the details are applied the turtle is hammered into shape. Did some simple easy scrolls on this one. Has a loop soldered on the back for use as a pendant.

Yup not elegant and not intended to be. Made and sold a fair number to muzzle loader folk. Loosely emulating 1830-40 fur trade items. This one shows use of stamps. Will likely now be forever known as the Mike Angelo of crafts to my engraving compadres. There is fine art, then there is what I do. lol.
Several of the stamps, Cross of Lorraine, H B (Hudson’s Bay) and my maker’s mark I made, another use for engraving.

Those look correct. There was a time you could trade a few of those for a state.
Are you going to the Nebraska convention this Feb?
