USMC Vietnam vet 2 tours, Started out as a blacksmith went back to school and became a tool maker. Finaly forced to retired with a 100% disability from gun shot wounds in 1989. I put my hands back to work building long range hand guns and some rifles. Started to carve Netsuke about 10 years ago and have been making tools for that job since, and probably never will be done.I joined this Forem to see what the state of the art was in engraving. This caused me to buy a microscope and a turn table,that was the best thing I have done in a while. I now am trying to improve my engraving and incorporate engraved featuers in my Netsuke carvings.
