Thanks for that. I was thinking I had seen that the 901 wasn't compatible, but I do see the 915 on their site, although on back order. A good friend and jeweler is thinking of retiring and he has used the Gravermeister for many years. I put out the word hoping he might part with a handpiece. I...
Hi all- I'm brand new to all this and trying to gather equipment, etc. I have an older Gravermeister machine, but when I look up modern palm handpieces, they all seem to say "Not compatible with Gravermeister" I'd like to get some understanding of why that would be and what's different. What do...
Hi all- I'm getting my equipment together, hoping to get started, but have a new issue. I'm using an old Gravermeister which came with the original big long handpiece. I ordered a cheap-o small handpiece to get me started. I rigged up an adapter for the hose, but when I run the machine, the...

Thanks for the info Monk, you've given me some hope that I can make this work. I've spent much of my life bird carving, stone carving (small scale), scrimshaw, customizing knives and firearms, refinishing antique tools, etc. I also have a printing press that I want to produce engraved plates...
Hi all- I'm new here, and new to engraving. I'm trying to put together some basics to get me started. I'm working on a limited budget, so much of what I have is used. My main question pertains to the microscope (which I have little knowledge about). I had a couple older scopes, only one of which...
