AM Scope Anyone have a review or an oppinion

I personally would advise anyone who is serious about getting into stone setting / Engraving to continue using an Optivisor until they can upgrade to a Leica. I have used Meiji for 20 years, but the Leica A60 Microscope with GRS Acrobat Stand is on another level though. This advice is especially...

    A good enough microscope

Don't get a Cheap Microscope. It will not serve any purpose. Use an Optivisor instead. Usually good quality tools and instruments will last a lifetime. My 2 cents

Best sharpening system // fixture for brand new (broke) beginner?

I am a stone setter. Whenever I have an engraving commission, I tend to sharpen my gravers the old way. here is a good illustrative video.

Commercial post/announcement: my custom jewelry business

It seems like you put a lot of love and effort into each piece, which I'm sure customers would appreciate. I run a small clothing store and a significant portion of my customers discover my site via Instagram and Facebook. I've found that running ad campaigns on these platforms can be super...

    SmartPro Air DO X

If Stuller is selling it, it means it is legit. I do know that Rio Grande and Stuller effectively test their products before listing them in their catalogs. I assume it is Ideal for any stone setter. The price is mindblowing though.

    Question: Engraving Bench

That particular one is for a stone setting. I have the same version that I use daily. I don't think there is such a thing as an " Engraving Bench". just custom-build yours to your comfort and proportions.

    An Excellent Air compressor.

Here is a Link to a superb quiet Air compressor. I would say it is about 20 % louder than the Silentaire But the major advantage over silentaire is in being oilless so no hazardous silent fume , It is unnoticeable but there for someone who works for long hours. well. the silentaire is...

    GRS and Lindsay QC compatibility

I agree. EasyGraver Sharpening Fixture is easy to use, accurate, no wobble or guess. you tighten it once and forget. Long or short graver , no problem.

Gravermax vs. Air Graver vs. Pulse Graver...or should i get all three>

I use exclusively my old gravermax for all my stone setting needs. I have never liked Lindsay's, they are extremely noisy . Pulsegraver is the most versatile of all the three gravers. you can adjust it to do any task, from setting an emerald to channel set or do deep cuts. If I have to choose I...

    Homemade Engraving Machine

Save the challenge. Why would anyone bother with building an Air graver. any reputable hand piece on the market will do until your retirement. Get the skills instead and go chase the money. Life is too short. My talk is addressed to any would be Engraver or stone setter. not a machinist . my...

So I just ordered Steve Lindsay's Bench Jewel graver.

My coworker uses a Lindsay's Bench Jewel. It is indeed an amazing graver for stone setting and engraving. However, I find it Irritatingly noisier compare to my old Gravermax which is more of a hissing air sound than anything else. My two cents.

    Rumor

I have heard from a good friend of mine, that GRS is in the final stage of the new product development process regarding their new palm graver. It is an update of the 15-year-old Airtact. I can't wait to have my hands on in the future upcoming shows.
