Here is another project that I mucked about with.
A gorget that I put together for a friend sometime in about 2006, he taught me the basics to safely build a muzzle loader, it was engraved flat and then formed, then the pieces were soldered together. At the time I was not doing any lettering at all and told him when I felt confident I'd attempt to put something on it, he'll be 85 this year so I figured I had better get something on it.
The drawing was shrunk down and due to the convex surface each line was transferred individually, the paint didn't do much to accent the cuts but did make them visible at conversational distances.
Working space was a problem.
