At 2pm on Sunday, the FEGA exhibition closed at this year's convention in Las Vegas.
I have been processing and editing a slide show for you that represents my usual unbalanced look at part of what was on display at the various tables. More time is needed to get the photos in proper order, however it is worth posting on my Picasa page now, meantime just have a look at this rather random order, and trust it will be sorted later.
My warning label is the same as last year, I apologize if you were displaying, and do not see any of your work here, and maybe too much of others. This is unfair, however I could not get around everyone …. I had other things to do, but I tried to do my best in the limited time available. I also tried to delete any photo attempt that downgraded the quality of the object. It would be very nice to have top grade studio quality, instead I present hand held snapshots, with hot lighting overhead that does not favor clear imaging of bulino, and other subtle work, but overall it gives a taste of the show. Our colleague, Sam Welch had a light tent to photograph the prize winners, and, like last year, he graciously allowed me to include these photos in this slide show. How to tell his photos ? If they are evenly lit, and with a reddish simple background, they are probably Sam's. Thank you Sam!
Maybe Roger B may again add some notes as to who is who, so we will bring more order later.
I hope other visitors to this year's Convention share some of their impressions and photos on this thread and how the new venue is working for them?
A huge thank you to all who put in the labor to plan the event, and see to its smooth running this weekend!
Now I must dash down to attend the Monday lectures …
