I'm obsessed with watch engraving lately. This is a stainless watch case with a bulino watch dial and ETA 2824 movement. The nestlings are inlaid with fine silver. Since this is my first time try to inlay metal into such a thin plate which is only 0.4 mm, silver could be more economic than gold. Beside, nestlings are supposed to be much whiter than rest of the scenery.
Here we have the watch assembled.
It is more easy to tell the different colors of stainless steel and fine silver under microscope.
