Bert,

Thanks for posting the links. For whatever reason ( or lack thereof ) I never thought to look up the gun maker's website to see what they are offering. Very nice, as it should be considering the prices noted on their order page.

Regards,

Brian, why would you say Creative Arts is a British Gunmaker? Its a british gun on a british site as stated.

He said creative arts are not made up of British engravers. A true statement, but seems out of left field.

Simple explanation.

Title of post said "Best of British". That's kinda specific.

Knowing that there are both British makers and engravers, that is what I expected to see.

When I clicked, I got British maker, Italian engravers...

Just not what I expected.

There is nothing "wrong" with the combination - my mind was set to look at British and that's not what I saw.

Neither do I...

As I said, it was the word British - in my mind I expected to see British engraving.

For whatever reason I clicked on the page that featured Creative engraving first. No big deal...

I own the book. Pulled it last night and read it 'till I fell asleep. Some nice work in there...

I note that, with exception of Creative arts none of the engravers is given credit for their amazing work. Without the work of rhe engravers these are "field grade" guns. Fred
