I finally got to try some air assisted engraving tools. I spent a day and a half at Brian Marshall's engraving school in Stockton, CA this weekend and he has got 'em all (one of Lindsay's is now on my wish list :big grin
I was actually blown away by all of the equipment he has. I spent a few hours just looking at everything and taking it all in (it goes on forever). He has done it all and has all to do it. What an invaluable experience. I hope I can make it back up there to attend one of his classes before he does not do them anymore.
Everything he showed me in this short period of time would have taken me years to learn or experience on my own. Not only that, just seeing how a working shop is set up and being able to handle the tools and materials was worth the trip.
I really appreciate Brian's generosity and encourage anyone who is interested in engraving or other related facets to give Brian a call. You will be glad you did.
Thank you Brian!
