I need to design an engraving for a large camera tripod and the plate that attaches to the camera. Customer wants an industrial look with rivits, etc.

Anyone have any ideas?

Industrial huh?.....Well how about gears in 3d with rivets and such like a steam punk kind of theme?

Steam punk is the only thing I can see as well. Maybe not even engraving but actually attaching gears and sprockets etc.- Fred

Cut/ file layers and steps to it so it looks riveted together with overlapping plates. Gold overlay for brass piping. And little breaks in the pho sheathing to reveal inner mechinations.
Bolino graphitti on the surface of plates.

What about dieselpunk style? Kinda like steampunk, but with a more post-apocalyptic/rusty rivet/steel tone to it.
