This is my first post so Hello Evryone.
I show you a project for 1858 Remington revolver.
Could you say me what you think about the cylinder drawnings?
Thank you already and sorry for my bad english.

It is quit lovely Hubert and welcome aboard. I will make one small comment and that is dealing with the tail of the fish/dolfin-I would say that it does not look like part of the body but rather on top of the tail thus hinding the tail. I would suggest removing the bottom pointed portion and let it become the tail. Just my opiion. Again welcome-Fred

Welcome aboard, Hubert!

Looks really nice! The one side of the cylinder will be very decorative and the other rather plain. Could you add more to the second side for balance?

Hello Hubert, your drawing is very beautiful, it is going to be very good.

Hello fred, I think you are right, but I wonder if there is an understood "rule" about that sort of situation.

Hurbert, please let us see more of your work.

Good Luck

Bienvenue Hubert,

Remington single actions rotate clockwise.

It is only "proper" to have the design flow in the direction in which the cylinder rotates (as well toward the front of the gun).

Other than that ..... your acanthus is very nice and will be elegant on this type of revolver.

Hi Hubert
Welcome to the cafe

Don't worry about your english . Your engravings are speaking for you .
Engraving is an international language and most of the members here can understand it. ;)

Cheers

Jean

welcome to the forum. i'd agree, the tail needs to become a bit more integrated into the design. but-- that is just a very minor adjustment to a great design.
