I recently finished this piece. I have a Gravemeister but only use it for the long elliptical outline cuts. Everything else is by (Burin) push gravers, Square, Flat and Liners.

Ellipse is 1 1/2 X 1 3/4 and the material (German silver) is .050. Relief is .015.

Time

"Monk", I rarely keep tabs of my time on an engraving. I often have interuptions and neglect to record the time. I have tried to keep accurate time and on a couple of occassions and it worked out to 10+ hours. Some pieces take longer. If I were doing it for a living I'd be on welfare.

This lid from a brass box I turned has Bou Coup hours into it. It's about 2 3/4 inches in diameter and is relieved to about .020.

"Ksnyder" I didn't buy the clip I made it from .050 flat stock. Below is an example of one that was still being worked up before cutting to shape and bending.
