Great source for Leather

The other day I bought some new leather welding gloves from Enco for about 4 dollars a pair. But before just throwing my old ones away I decided to cut them up and save the leather. I was surprised at how much nice soft, thin leather I got out of each pair. One big piece came in real handy for padding around a shotgun stock I was putting some lettering on the inlayed oval.

I have also salvaged some great leather from pocket books and even a brief case from the "swap shack" at our town Transfer Station. It has been a great source of various supplies.
