Well Engraving Word, I would like to thank EVERYONE yes everyone. It is my one year anniversary of joining this great forum.

Everyone has been so helpful and willing to share their knowledge with me, from selling me tools (in payments), given books, lent tools to study, one on one classes (Thank you Gerry), and so much more.

I have grown so much in knowledge. I was looking at my starting practice plates from a year ago and boy are those some ugly cuts, and a year from now I'll probably think the same of the cuts I'm doing now...hahahah

I know i stir the waters some times, but I take it like a collage debate class, we all learn when the status quo is challenged. Imagine where the human race would be if we had not challenged each other, we might still be living in caves or believing the world is flat (yes its exagerrated but you know what I mean)

The point is that every single word of advice I have been given, I am thankful! I do listen and analyze what you guys have to say, i dont follow them all the time...haha sorry

My practice plates are now guns, the practice plate costs me about 350 bucks but believe it or not there selling sold some for 1500.00 bucks not bad for some practice plates! Not signing any yet, but I'm excited where Ill be a year from now. I just love the challenge a gun provides so many angles, I love the challenge.

I've even found my lost twin (Monk) inside joke.

Engraving has consumed me, I read everyday, practice almost everyday (and feel bad when I don't) I have spent hundreds of hours doing both (KEY TO LEARNING) I have even learned to draw, and find myself drawing on my guns (I love it!).

When beginners ask what video should I buy what reading materials should I buy, I believe they are asking for the magic book and dvd that will teach them all they need to know. The truth is BUY THEM ALL. I've spent close to a thousand or more on learning materials books and dvd's.

In the end when beginners state they dont want to spend, they might as well find another hobby, there so much to spend on when it comes to engraving, two of my latest purchases, a camera set up to take pictures in the light painting technique (expensive) and a second Lindsay classic for my 8 year old daughter, she likes it and wants to learn, when she's 15 and her friends are getting graveyard shifts at McDonald's shell be making her own hours and probably earning much more.

What I want to say is thank you for taking me in and making me part of the family:thumbsup:

THANK YOU ALL I AM TRUTHFULLY GRATEFUL!!!!!
