Heres a try at the Ole Hobo Nickel. I was shooting for a biker helmet with a gold horn, however I couldnt for the life of me get the 18K wire I had, work. So it is relief. Perhaps I will try again with some 24K next time. Sorry for the poor picture I am trying to rectify that, but my camera is not very good for macro.

Just a thought, maybe bone, ivory, etc. inlayed in horn relief or even copper.. [ps] Just saw you,ve already listed it on ebay, When i make my reply i thought you were still thinking about changing horn..

Thanks a ton for the suggestions, I will keep those alive in the upcoming nickels. After some more research I realized I made some mistakes with the gold. I have a couple more ideas to play with now. Perhaps someday I can do some as nice as yours.
