for SEVERAL days now and can't seen to find the match to the "COLT" that is on a Colt Woodsman. Well at least not a good sized, clear picture. I did have pictures of all the differnent "COLTS" that they used over the years, but again I can't seem to locate those either. If someone could please help with this or direct me to a link or email me some picts it will be greatly appreciated.

Hi James,
Are you wanting the rampant colt horse or thr COLT lettering?
Need to know the approx. serial number range too.
There are quite a few variations such as the first style with the "elephant ear" grips and the second style with the heavy barrel.
I have a couple of the second style here for engraving and could make a smoke pull if that would help.
Another idea is to contact Doug Turnbull in NY State. He handles a lot of older Colts for restoration and may have a varity of models. His engraver Tom may be able to give you a rubbing or smoke pull.
