Just a modest payback for my enjoyment of the forum. I have extensively used transfers from the Bergling books to practice classic monograms styles, lettering and baroque leaves, shading, leaf script ect.( and thanks to Sam for his superb lettering video). I am ashamed to admit how much I paid for a mint edition of art monograms and lettering, spent hours searching used books.. anyway,I found the source using different seach terms.Yes, Gem City College is still in business (watchmaking) as is the Gem City College Press.I recieved permission th post this information to you all. All the bergling books are available in superb printing, both in hardcover and spiral bound for easier laying flat for reproducion, at very reasonable prices. They are strictly old-school in that you must send a check to order. A Ms. Janice Miller handles the orders. The address is 700 State Str., Quincy, Illinois 62301 phone 217 222 0391 check the web site for prices www. gemcitycollege.com
Wish I'd found them first, I'd have more money for tools! best wishes to all, James

I only have one of the Bergling books, in mint condition. I don't know why I never picked up the rest of them from Dover, which is where I think I got this one. Looks like a good opportunity to get the rest. Glad to hear they're "old school", as I have no credit cards or debit cards. Thanks for the information. Stuff like this is good to know, and pass on.
