Kudos to all responsible for this wonderful issue of The Engraver! From the beautiful front cover to the extremely touching back cover. I thank you all for its content and presentation........a class act.

Your welcome and yeah i agree that back cover was the capstone. I can see Ralph going out just that way. A great shot by Sam Alfano, and a great location choice by Andrew Biggs.

It's the official journal of the Firearms Engravers Guild of America.
Go to www.fega.com and join the Guild, you'll never regret it.
The magazine comes free with your membership.
Thanks for asking your question, hope it helps you and others.

PS. You also get FREE entrance to the great FEGA and Custom Gunmakers show in Reno next January.
Fantastic engraving to see, wonderful custom guns and world class engraving seminars on Monday.
And your FEGA membership gets you a free pass to the fine knife show in the same hotel.
Thanks for that. The magazine is only as good as the people that generously contribute with their articles and photos. We've been really fortunate that the people approached have willingly shared their love and enthusiasm of engraving with us.
Francis Heuse from Belgium, Weldon Lister, Diane Scalese, Sam Welch, John Barraclough, Marty Rabeno, Barry Lee Hands, Scott Pilkington, the FEGA BOD, Les Brooks, Sam Alfano.
There are some really cool future articles that are coming as well from other people like Tim Adlam, Weldon Lister, Tira Mitchell, Barry Lee Hands, Marcus Hunt, Mike Dubber, Steve Lindsay, Lee Griffiths and the Emporia University Engraving degree programme people. Also more fantastic photos from Sam and other FEGA members work. A few others that I can’t remember off the top of my head (it’s 7:30 am here and I’m not long out of bed)
These are the people that we have to thank and show our appreciation to for making the magazine so good and such an interesting read for the rest of us.
I start out looking for the magazine about a month before it is due. I enjoy the read. The articles are well thought out and informative. Thank you to all who contributed their thoughts ideas and talent to a fine magazine. Big kudos goes to those that put the Magazine together. Past and present editors. Putting together a magazine of the quality that the Engraver is, is no little task. Job well done. Thank you for taking the time and effort.
Today I received a call from Rosemary Bone (Ralph's widow). I sent her some extra copies of this issue and she was truly touched by the photograph and the placement. For anyone that knew Ralph, it was no doubt that was him and such a touching photo. I've never had so many comments on a photo from engravers before. Thanks again Sam for this.
Of course, thanks to all that made the ENGRAVER possible now and in the past. We took 100 copies to the Grand Masters and they were scooped up instantly!
Thank you Rex,
Seems as though it's only been a couple of years since it was in black and white. I know it's been longer
than that. Great lay out this issue.

The Engraver newsletter has indeed come a long way since we started the guild. The first issues were actually mimeographed and stapled together by Bob Evans. It was a big step getting aquality black and white deition out as the years went on and the cost and technology made it feasible. When we took the leap to color it made a world of difference. Andrew and all of the other editors, past officers and contributors have helped make this a world class magzine. If you are not already a member of FEGA (Firearms Engravers Guild of America) I do encourage you to join us. We have come a long way since we have joined together and took a chance.
Marty Rabeno
Founding/Charter member of FEGA, past President and loved every minute of it. Well most of it.
There is one really big mistake in the magazine that will be rectified in the next issue. The photos of Dianes bright cut plates were taken by Amanda Henson and Kelsey Barker at GRS and I ommitted to credit them for it. Both very talented ladies.
Thanks to everyone that had or has ever been a part of this Great Mag and the FEGA, I have enjoyed every article and the photos are Great...
Hope to make it to Reno, started making plans...
