It will work just fine. Best if you have a 10X oculars and a 0.05 reducer... Now, how are you going to mount it for engraving. I bought one on ebay and never used. There's one on ebay now, just search for the model
# and you mey also find a mount if you need one...
Best, JL
I use a Meiji EMZ. It doesn't have the "-2" designation, so I'm not sure if it is the same scope you are referring to.
It has worked pretty good, although I've never been exposed to anything else.
I almost never use the 0.05X. Removing it doubles the magnification, but reduces the working space between the lenses and the vise BIG TIME. It's just a personal preference on my part.
GRS sells the Meiji line. I am just starting to use the EMZ. I have about 5" of working room under the scope with the 0.5X lens. I like this machine. But I really wish I didn't need one at all! Also, I don't have experience with any other scope.
I just bought an EMZ from "Tech Recovery" on eBay. It is an EMZ-5, and they have several. It comes with a stand, and was optically perfect, and cosmetically excellent. The price is good, too, for a Meiji. Item: 320097748699
