I have found a Meiji EMZ 2 scope for sale and was wondering what the difference is between the EMZ 2 and the EMZ 5 that GRS sells? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

The EMZ2 is an older style body, but the specs are close, as long as you are not using a trinoc version I think it may suit you, here is the info on both:

Thanks a ton Barry!! That is just the info I was looking for! I do not know much about microscopes and was not sure if that was an older model or different scope altogether. I just peeked at the info and will sit down this evening and compare closer. Thanks again!!!

I had one of these back before I bought my trinoc. The only difference is the zoom is done by a ring around the base rather than the knobs on the sides

Does the EMZ-5 have a continuous zoom, while the EMZ-2 has a "stepped" zoom?
