I purchased a used Meiji EMZ5 a few months back and just now getting it set up but I think it needs to be serviced, it has some haze on the optics. I would like to know the best place to send one to have it cleaned and checked out and what kind of cost is related to having that done. I would appreciate any advice.

the grs website offers these scopes for sale. i would think they would also service them. if not, they probably could direct you to a reputable service company.

There are 8 Meiji EMZ5 microscopes here. We have never had a problem with any of them, but I've had a couple minor problems with an old American Optics gemological scope that absoluteclarity was very helpful with.

I have heard nothing but good things about them from students I have referred to them.
