Don't whatever you do buy a cheap Chinese scope. You'll only end up paying twice. If you can't afford it now stick with an Optivisor and/loupe and save up. As Sam says, you can't go wrong with Meiji, Zeiss or Leica. I bought a Leica recently and I must admit the optics, field of view, and light are second to none but there are things I don't like. For example, I prefer the way the Meiji brings together the eye pieces by rotation as I find it hard to get comfortable with Leica's sliding system. Also, I'd give anything to have the Meiji headrest on the Leica. It might not affect some folks but with all the neck problems I've had that headrest was a godsend. At the end of the day, you pay your money and make your choice but Chinese scopes can be so hit and miss optics wise my advice would be to steer clear of them.
