Having settled in Cody Wyoming and establishing my studio there decided that the majority of my works would be of a distinct western flavour. Here is a sample of what I was doing in 1985 which was three years after finishing my schooling.
The scroll work is in relief with a matt background, the receiver was then reblued. The spaces for the scenes were then cleaned with bluing remover, then cut with a burin and left in the white for contrast.

I wish it were bigger but I'll take what I can get since most if not all your work photos were probably taken before the digital age. Nice job, nice gun set trigger and all. I particularly like the way you added scroll to the side plate to frame the scene, most folks don't do that.

Hello Joseph, In an earlier thread you said you follow Meek's book. I do to. Do you use the box camera to do transfers as meek suggested? How did they teach you in Itally to do transfers?

Just curious.
