Good day to All,

I have received my Micro scope Yesterday and are very exited about it, It is a Olympus SZ51 with eye pieces of .8 to 4 I guess it means magnification from X8 to X40 that is if i had read Sam's mail correct as far as those big "BUGS" thread is concern. I just need to get my setup right and then I will practice my engraving with the scope, I am still a newbie but really want to engrave my own knives. I do my own scrimshaw and wire inlays and figured that with practice I will be able to do engraving on my knives to for that is one of my goals, to be the sole author of my knives

Thanks to All for sharing and inspiring those of us dreaming of becoming engravers.

Cheers

many of the disciplines required of the engraver are also a must for the knifemaker. the added incentive to be able to do the entire piece, is usually enough to assure that one will see it thru to the end to become skilled at engraving. you're already quite skilled, just add a few more, and you're there ! good luck !
