Does anyone have any opinions on inlaying palladium rather than platinum? The cost is the biggest thing for me right now, but I want something more tarnish resistant than silver. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. david

It's a harder metal to deal with. Where Platinum will hammer down to hold onto the teeth you raise, like 24k. Palladium is going
to be more like 14k white gold. It might just flatten the teeth and to make it expand to fill a under cut, might not be happening.
If you can inlay 14k w/g, then you could try it. I think it can be done, but it's not going to be fun.

guys were talking here about argentium sterling silver, I don't know why but I can't find this post. I never worked with this material yet, but official people saying it's not tarnish. http://www.argentiumsilver.com/

p.s. sorry just found - the name of the post is - inlay bubbling (by Brian Hochstrat)

Thanks guys. I'll probably just go ahead and spring for the platinum and save myself some hassel. David
