Awhile back i was working on a patchbox for a rifle I am going to build. For the sake of practice and to see how the elements would work out in metal, I cut it on a piece of scrap steel. I have some issues to work out particularily in the horses but once I get that sorted out I think it will be OK. It's a contemporary interpretation of a box by Jacob Kuntz (the rifle will be a Kuntz inspired contemporary). Here's my practice piece along with the box that inspired it. All cutting done with a 120 (45deg face, 15deg standard heel) with the exception of the nicks&dots in the nick&dot boarder around the lid and the triangles around the faux screws. These were done with a flat, 55deg face 25deg heel.
