I want to try hammer and chisel engraving but I don't know which heel (angle) I need to have on chisel. Can you help me with photo or with some explanation? Thanks a lot.

a starting point would be 45 face, 15 heel. steeper face if metal is hard. no one can truly tell you which is best. you'll have to experiment to determine what's best for the way you work. try the tip section.

The heel will vary depending on what you want to do. Mine range from 12° to 30° With higher heels you have to lower the face angle. The included angle cannot exceed about 80° . For example if you have a 60° face angle you cannot have more than a 20° heel angle. Sculpting and background removal is best done with the higher heels. At least that is how I work.
