I must say, that Barry's video quality on his smart phone was excellent, thank you, Barry,

However, not so with the 'PTA-meeting-type-microphone' nailed to the desk. We had been swapping a few songs back in the corner, Barry generously hauled us up, and into the public eye, towards the end of the excellent ice breaker evening... lots of tasty nibbles, a big room, a drink or two on the house, and plenty of friendly chat.

I will see about posting a clean audio of that great song, "Pancho and Lefty", written by Townes Van Zandt, recorded by almost everyone, but rarely sung with a Scot's brogue .... stay tuned.

Roger, you know harmonizers, Fred and his lady, Julie, of course. The mandolin picker and singer is Dean Philbrick, who attended with his wife, Toni, and they all were at Barry's generous two singing sessions in the President's Suite. Is their anything Barry cannot do, and always do well, he had some good chords on that mando, when he borrowed it from Dean, his singing and guitar picking were excellent. I really enjoyed the ball being passed around, musically, Fred and Julie harmonizing, Dean's Johnny Cash number, 'Sunday Mornin' Coming Down' was a show stopper, so authentic, Dean. I speak as someone who knew and sang with Cash in another lifetime...1962.

Roger, what fun to sing with you, I just about fell off my seat, the first time we met up, and I discovered you knew and sang so many Scots songs. Your "Rattlin' Roarin' Willie" that we did together was great, and so appropriate in Vegas at around Robert Burns' birthday, he wrote one verse to tack onto the already ancient song. I will be thinking of you, Feb 8, when I do a Burns Supper locally here. Wanna fly out and sing it with me?

We just need to get word out early next time, as to where we homeless singers will be meeting up in the evenings, but if Barry is willing to keep the El Presidente room traditional, then that would work. I do not know how he feels about his liquor cabinet being drunk dry, generous fellow? Flutemaker/player, Chris Norman's 8 keyed flute, with engraved rings, looked and sounded great in his able hands, I never tire of his version singing "When First I Went to Caledonia". He taught it to me, and I sang it in a Colorado concert last Monday. Lee's rich voice would have had more impact, had I not misplaced a bunch of lyrics I had brought for him. They were discovered later, on Barry's table, oops!
